I should get some credit for this one even tho I didn't make the top. I had made 2 lavender and white star tops. One I gave to a niece who was going to stay in touch about 3 yrs ago and haven't heard from her since. Runs in her family. The other one I traded to one of my best friends in Medford....Norma. I didn't get pix of the 2 lavender ones, tho. There must be 300 different fabrics in this one and I'm just finishing the border. She had made 50 or 60 quilts...really nice ones and just stacked them in a closet. I tried to talk her into giving some to charity or sell them or something but she didn't. She did crochet hats for new babies at the hospital but now she is in a rest home and I don't know what happened to all of her stuff. I miss her!

This is a really cute pattern. I had an old frame and had to find something to fit in it so this will be perfect. I have some delicate red trim which will be the border...exact color. I will hang it in my laundry room with an Old Dutch cleanser woman and Sunbonnet girls with their scrub boards...all cross stitch. Doesn't show all but it's about half done.

This could be considered a cheater quilt. I bought the 12 months of a snowman's life on Ebay and finally got it almost finished. I had put the top together a couple of years ago but couldn't decide on the pinwheels. They seemed too large for the dainty little guys but when I pulled it out a few weeks ago, I decided it would work. Just have to finish quilting and border...my favorite is July!

Recycled Blocks

I started w/10 blue & white baskets, added a bunch off odds and ends quilt pieces, buttons, a couple of small crocheted butterflies and flowers and can call this a recycled quilt in progress. Mostly all old fabric but a little bit of new. Strips will be a reproduction fabric w/kids. Good project to sit down with work on it. I have 4 or 5 of the squares done, all in a hospital waiting room last year. You can only read so many magazines so I always took something to do.
